In a Blow to Freedom of the Press, U.S. Supreme Court Refuses to Protect Reporter from Obama Administration Prosecution Over Refusal to Reveal Sources

In a severe blow to the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of the press, the U.S. Supreme Court declined earlier this week to hear the case of New York Times reporter James Risen, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who writes about national security issues and is being targeted by the Obama Administration for refusing to reveal a confidential source.
