Failure Upon Failure: The Disintegration of the Obama Presidency

Here is the great irony of the Obama presidency: Barack Obama will be a transformative president, but not in the way he imagined. Rather than restore faith in government, the Obama presidency has all but destroyed it. Continue reading

Ending the ‘Special Relationship’ with Britain

Winston Churchill made the phrase famous, using it late in World War II and then in the “Iron Curtain Speech,” in which he warned that an Iron Curtain had fallen over Europe, with the Communists on one side and the Free World on the other. He warned that neither efforts to prevent war nor the rise of world organizations would succeed without the “fraternal association of the English-speaking peoples.” That meant, he said, “a special relationship between the British Commonwealth and the Empire and the United States.” Continue reading

Former TEA Party Leader Describes Impact of IRS Attacks

The following story by Bill Hoffman for Newsmax illustrates why the Internal Revenue Service attacks on the TEA Party and other patriot groups rises to the level of a massive civil rights violation. As the Steve Malzberg interview makes plain, this was not some mistake in search of efficiencies, as outgoing IRS chieftain Steven Miller claims. For true change to take place, Americans must once again conceive of their history as a struggle to create and maintain real freedom. Part of that reconceptualization would entail making a place for the Kentucky and Virginia resolutions in the pantheon of American charters. The resolutions articulate the fundamental principles of our government in an eloquent yet logical manner; in their import, they rank second only to the Constitution. For Americans who would recreate a limited federal government of enumerated powers — the government created by the Founders — the resolutions can serve as an enduring inspiration. Continue reading

Russian News Outlet Pravda Labels Obama a ‘Communist’ in Scathing OpEd

The author, Xavier Lerma, goes on to note how Obama’s “cult of personality” has mesmerized the ignorant in America, who will follow the hope and change icon in much the same way as ”fools” still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Continue reading

America’s Unsustainable Immigration Policy

Until this country can get a handle on its existing $16 trillion national debt and adequately address the poverty, hunger, and fair-wage issues already facing our current fellow citizens, we really don’t have the acumen or financial resources to take on additional responsibilities for tens of million more people. Continue reading

Immigration By the Numbers: Part 2

Roy Beck and NumbersUSA has been around a long time. His work is not well appreciated by those who propagate identity politics and victimization as a rite of passage into America. Perhaps it is his irrefutable, pragmatic evidence that has academia in such a tizzy. Continue reading
